Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by the head coach of the Azerbaijan national team, Aykhan Abbasov, at the press conference held before the match against the Icelandic national team in Baku as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifying round.
"I believe in my players and I expect support from our fans. I believe they will not leave us alone. Iceland has been impressive in recent matches. We want, as a team, to forget the 0:5 defeat recorded in the first match. We will try to make our fans happy tomorrow. Our team is not under pressure. On the contrary, the opposing team is experiencing pressure because they have a chance to reach the playoffs," Abbasov added.
The Azerbaijan - Iceland match will start on November 13 at 9:00 p.m. at the 8th kilometer settlement stadium.
