Italian football club "Napoli" is preparing for a midfielder transfer in early January to strengthen head coach Antonio Conte's options.
Idman.Biz reports that the simultaneous injury of Kevin De Bruyne, Frank Anguissa, and Billy Gilmour has put the team in a critical situation. Currently, only Stanislav Lobotka, Scott McTominay, versatile Eljif Elmas, and young talent Antonio Vergara are available in midfield.
Sporting director Giovanni Manna has already made initial contact with "Manchester United" regarding the possible transfer of 20-year-old Kobbie Mainoo. The English footballer is listed as one of the club's main targets.
There are three more footballers on Napoli's alternative list. Artur Atta (23 years old, "Udinese"), Morten Frendrup (24 years old, "Genoa") and Kenneth Taylor (23 years old, "Ajax") - are considered available for approximately 30 million euros (55 million AZN).
The January transfer window is expected to be one of the most intense periods in recent years for "Napoli" as the club urgently needs to fill the gaps in midfield.
