"Napoli" will not prevent head coach Antonio Conte from taking over the national team if he receives an offer from the Italian Football Federation (FIGC). Sport24.az reports this, citing "La Gazzetta dello Sport".
Conte is considered the main candidate to replace Gattuso. According to the source, the 56-year-old specialist is interested in returning to the Italian national team, where he worked from 2014 to 2016. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is ready to let the coach go, despite his contract running until 2027.
It should be noted that Conte has been managing Napoli since 2024. Under his leadership, the team has won two trophies - the Italian Championship and the Italian Super Cup. Conte has previously worked at Atalanta, Juventus, Inter, Chelsea, Tottenham and other clubs.
