Nakhchivan stadium to be renovated to international standards and put at the disposal of football

The Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic stadium will be renovated in accordance with international standards and put at the disposal of the club and Nakhchivan football in the near future.

"Report" reports that the president of the Nakhchivan Football Federation, Zaur Akhundov, said this at the meeting of the organization.

At the meeting, he spoke about the work done on the development of football in the autonomous republic.

He said that in April of this year, the games of the Azerbaijan championship in the Nakhchivan zone among teams of the corresponding age groups were held in the Autonomous Republic with the joint organization of AFFA and NFF, football competitions were regularly organized among adults in cities, regions, towns and villages in order to increase mass character, and a new football club was created with the support of NFF.

The president of the Federation also noted as a commendable fact that after a long break, the team of referees representing Nakhchivan was appointed to the games of the national championship with the participation of teams of different age groups.

It was reported that mutual work is being carried out with the AFFA Referees Committee for this purpose, courses and seminars for referees are organized in the region, and those who successfully pass the test standards will always protect justice in the competitions. In addition, courses are organized in the region for coaches to have a UEFA coaching license.

Z. Akhundov also noted that the anticipation of "Araz-Nakhchivan" by football fans in Nakhchivan will soon come to an end. Thus, the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic stadium, which reflects the history and traditions of football in the autonomous republic, will soon be renovated in accordance with international standards and put at the disposal of the club and Nakhchivan football.
