Germany national team head coach Julian Nagelsmann has stated that some players who regularly play in the starting lineup for their clubs will not be taken to the World Cup. Sport24.az reports that he stated this in an interview with "Kicker":
"In general, the biggest challenge for the national team coach is related to squad selection. Everything depends on who is the best fit for each other.
There will be decisions that - I can reveal this now - will not be well received by either the players or the public. It is possible that a player who constantly appears in the club, who is a key figure, will not be in the national team."
It should be noted that the WC-2026 will be held in the USA, Mexico and Canada between June 211 and July 19.
