German national team coach Julian Nagelsmann has stated that Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen will go to the 2026 World Cup if he gains regular playing practice at his club. Sport24.az reports that he made a statement about this to the "As" publication:
"If he is healthy and plays for the club, he is our number one. Mark should return to the green fields by December. The goalkeeper will most likely play for the national team in March, as he did in June."
It should be noted that some time ago, there were reports in the press that Barcelona no longer trusts Mark-Andre ter Stegen. There is a possibility that he will move to another team in the winter in order to gain regular playing practice until the 2026 World Cup.
