Neftchi football team midfielder Murad Mammadov will not play in the Cyprus championship. The plans for the footballer, with whom Pafos agreed to add to their squad in the summer and signed a preliminary contract, are different.
Idman.Biz reports that the Cypriots have agreed on all the details of a 3+1 year contract. futbolinfo.az writes that Murad Mammadov's agreement with Neftchi will expire at the end of the season and states that Pafos will acquire him as a free agent. Baku will only receive training money, which is not a large amount.
The most interesting thing is that Mammadov will play not in Cyprus, but in Latvia. Pafos wants Murad to gain playing practice in Riga. Only after that will he go to Cyprus.
Murad's transfer and loan to Riga is not accidental. Because the owner of both clubs is the same person - Roman Dubov. This person was previously the president of Portsmouth and Reading in England. That is, all these clubs are accessible to Dubov. He collects talented players from different countries and places them in different clubs, and then sells them. Whether Mammadov's path extends to England will depend on him and how he proves himself.
