"Neftchi" midfielder Murad Mammadov will live the life of a legionnaire from next season.
Idman.Biz reports with reference to futbolinfo.az that the 19-year-old football player will continue his career in Cyprus.
Because negotiations between the "white-blacks" and the "Pafos" club have finally yielded positive results. The Cypriot top league representative has received the consent of the "Neftchi" management for the player's transfer.
Although this transfer will not bring a large income to the Baku club, a certain amount of compensation will be paid. It has already been confirmed that Mammadov will move to "Pafos" in the summer, and it remains only to formalize the relations and announce it. The contract is for 3 years.
"Pafos" is currently in 4th place in the ongoing Cypriot championship with 51 points after 26 rounds. Pafos, coached by well-known Spanish expert Albert Celades, became the Cypriot champion for the first time in its history last season. The team, which mainly consists of legionnaires, managed to qualify for the League stage of the Champions League this season, and could not advance to the playoffs from here only due to goal difference.
It should be noted that Murad Mammadov is a member of our U-21 national team. He will go the opposite way instead of the numerous legionnaires who have come to "Neftchi" from Cyprus in recent years.
