Muhsin Muhammadiev, former football player, head coach and functionary of the Tajikistan national team, has passed away.
Idman.Biz reports that Muhsin Muhammadiev passed away on the evening of January 1, 2026, after a serious illness, shortly before his 60th birthday.
As a football player, he played for "Pamir", "Torpedo", "Ankaragücü", "Austria" clubs and a number of other teams.
After finishing his career, he worked as a coach and manager, led the Tajikistan national team, was the vice-president of "Istiklol" club, and most recently worked in his native "Vakhsh" club.
Muhammadiev was considered one of the key figures in the development of Tajik football, distinguished by his systematic approach, work with youth and professionalism. His activity made a significant contribution to the formation of football infrastructure in the country and the recognition of the national team at the international level.
