MP Mushfig Jafarov has appealed to AFFA. Sport24.az reports that the MP stated this during the discussion of the 2026 state budget at the plenary session of the Milli Majlis held today:
"The President signed an order for the reconstruction of the Ganja city stadium in a short period of time and personally participated in the opening of a stadium that meets international standards before the 3rd CIS Games. It is personally heartbreaking for me and the Ganja fans to see "Kapaz" FC, which has such a stadium, in last place among the Premier League teams. I appeal to the AFFA leadership from this tribune, the people who are currently in charge of the team took over the team under the name of a sponsor, but as a result, there was no talk of any sponsorship, and these are the initial results. There is a stadium that meets international standards, an academy built with the support of FIFA and UEFA meets the highest standards, there is no such academy even in Baku. There are 3 training stadiums and the team is fighting to stay in the Premier League. I believe that AFFA will not remain indifferent to my appeal and will appreciate the existing opportunities."
It was noted that the new leadership of "Kapaz" was said to be connected to the arrested businessman Adnan Ahmadzadeh.
