Turkish national team head coach Vincenzo Montella commented on the 2:2 draw against Spain in the 2026 World Cup qualifier. Sport24.az reports that the Italian specialist said the following:
"I am proud of the character my players showed in this match. We sacrificed a lot. We were competitive. I am satisfied with the result."
It should be noted that Spain lost points for the first time in the qualifying round. They secured a direct ticket to the World Championship. Turkey, on the other hand, advanced to the play-offs.
