"Monaco" was planning to sign Manchester City defender Nathan Aké.
İdman.Biz reports that this information was published by "L'Équipe".
According to the source, the Monegasques are trying to improve the situation in defense.
Mohammed Salisu had previously injured his anterior cruciate ligament (one of the important stabilizing ligaments for normal knee function – ed.), and Vaut Faes was brought in on loan from Leicester City to replace him. Faes himself has already suffered an ankle injury in the 19th round of the Ligue 1 season in a 0:0 match against Le Havre. This time he was replaced by Eric Dier. However, Dier also suffered a hamstring injury. Both Faes and Dier are expected to be out for several weeks.
It was reported that negotiations were held in "Monaco" regarding Aké's transfer, but these negotiations quickly ended without result.
