The new coach of the Moroccan national team has been determined. Sport24.az reports, citing the official website of the local federation, that the vacant post after the departure of Walid Regragui will be entrusted to Mohammed Ouahbi.
According to the source, the resigning coach arrived in Morocco last week to formally terminate his contract. Ouahbi, who led Morocco's youth team to the world championship last October, will take over the "helm" of the main team for the first time in his career.
Meanwhile, it has become known that the federation had a different plan regarding the head coach. Before Ouahbi, a verbal agreement was reached with former "Marseille" coach Jorge Sampaoli. Although the documents were completely ready, the contract with the Argentinian coach did not materialize at the last moment.
