According to the goalkeeper, his grandfather is Azerbaijani, he has many relatives in Azerbaijan, and if he receives an offer, he will gladly play for our national team.
The young goalkeeper was born in Moscow on February 15, 2008, and during his time in Russia, he played in the academy of Moscow's Rodina club. He played 60 games there and was remembered with 16 "dry" series. In 2023, he moved to the USA and joined the ranks of the Houston Dynamo club.
In 2025, Karimov debuted in the MLS NEXT Pro league as part of the Houston Dynamo's second team, playing 180 minutes in two games. He also regularly plays for the club's academy team and is considered one of the most promising goalkeepers in his age group in Texas.
