America's MLS league has set a new record for money spent on transfers. Sport24.az reports, citing the league's press service, that clubs spent approximately $336 million on players in 2025.
This is significantly higher compared to previous years, when MLS teams did not reach the $200 million mark. The previous record was $188 million (in 2024).
It is noted that US clubs made eight transfers worth more than $10 million in 2025. The most expensive transfer was Son Heung-min's move from Tottenham to Los Angeles for $26.5 million.
