The Romanian Football Federation has announced the resignation of Mircea Lucescu as head coach of the national team.
Report reports that the information was released by the federation's press service.
Under the leadership of the experienced specialist, the Romanian team advanced to the play-off stage of the 2026 World Cup. The team stopped fighting here, losing to the Turkish team with a score of 0:1.
It should be noted that during M.Lucescu's second coaching period, the Romanian national team won 11 victories, drew 1 match and lost 6 times.
