Report reports, citing foreign media, that this was recorded yesterday in a friendly match with Canada in Bucharest.
During the game, the coach was 80 years, 1 month and 7 days old.
Thus, M. Lucescu became the oldest national team coach. The previous record belonged to Uruguayan Roque Maspoli. He was 80 years, 1 month and 4 days old when he coached the Uruguayan national team in 1997.
