The "Friendship Cup" minifootball tournament was held among teams of boys and girls aged 10-12 and 13-15, raised in orphanages, at the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of IDEA Public Union, and Arzu Aliyeva, head of the Baku Media Center.

The teams of orphanages No. 1, 2 and 3, operating under the Social Services Agency, tested their strength in the competition organized by the Association of Football Federations of Azerbaijan (AFFA).
High sports enthusiasm and friendly relations were observed between girls and boys. It was noted that both children and spectators experienced great enthusiasm and joy during the games.
One of the most memorable moments of the tournament was Leyla Aliyeva and Arzu Aliyeva's personal participation in the event and watching the games, supporting all teams, having sincere conversations with the children and taking pictures with them. They wished the participants success and emphasized the importance of holding such events on a larger scale in the future.
The winning teams in both age groups were awarded diplomas, medals and cups. At the same time, the teams that won second and third places were also awarded medals and diplomas.
It should be noted that the main purpose of organizing the "Friendship Cup" minifootball tournament is to promote a healthy lifestyle and physical activity among children growing up in orphanages, as well as to support their integration into society and create conditions for building new friendships.
At the end of the event, the children, educators and organizers stated that such initiatives have a positive impact on their lives and expressed their desire for the continuation of such social and sports projects.
