The Abad inter-district mini-football tournament, covering the districts of Baku, under the motto "Get Strength From Victory", organized on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva, Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, founder and head of the IDEA Public Association, has ended.

It was reported that the tournament was organized jointly by the Baku City Executive Authority, the Regional Development Public Association, and the Baku City Youth and Sports Department. The main goal of the football competition, which was held among teenagers born in 2013-2014 and consisted of 2 stages - district and city stages - is to strengthen the spirit of patriotism in teenagers and youth, promote a healthy lifestyle among them and involve them in sports.
The competitions, organized in the mini-football stadiums in the Abad neighborhoods created within the framework of the "Our Yard" project implemented on the initiative of Leyla Aliyeva in the settlements and residential areas of the capital, were held according to the Olympic system, and a total of 123 teams with 1266 young athletes participated in the competition. The first round of the tournament ended in the capital's districts by October 24, and then the winners of the district rounds competed in the Baku city stage.
The tournament, organized with the participation of republican-level referees, ended with the final games on October 31. At the beginning of the event, popular singers Chinara Malikzadeh and Ilhama Gasimova performed in front of the participants. After the official opening ceremony, the final game was held. In the final game, the Yasamal district team met the Sabunchu district team. The Yasamal district team won the game with a score of 7:5 and became the winner of the tournament. The winners of the tournament were awarded honorary diplomas and valuable gifts. At the end of the event, fireworks were held and a photo was taken.
