The Iranian national football team has attracted attention with its touching gesture in a friendly match against Nigeria.
Idman.Biz reports on this with reference to foreign media.
During the national anthem, the players placed small school bags in front of them, commemorating the 179 schoolgirls who died in a rocket attack in Minab, Iran, and took to the field with black armbands.
The match was held in Antalya, and the Nigerian national football team won with a score of 2:1.
It is noted that FIFA expects to hold the tournament as originally planned, despite the Iranian side requesting a change of venue for the games.
