Turkey's national football team's qualification for the 2026 World Cup is accompanied not only by a great celebration in the country but also by record amounts of rewards. This success of the team has been highly appreciated by both the federation and the business world.
Idman.Biz reports, referring to the Turkish press, that the national team, which won the right to participate in the World Championship, will receive a guaranteed income of 13 million euros (26 million AZN). This amount will be a significant financial contribution to the team's budget before the tournament.
The most remarkable award came from the President of the Turkish Football Federation, İbrahim Hacıosmanoğlu. He will present each football player of the national team with luxury villas in Muğla, worth between 2-3 million dollars (3.40 - 5.10 million AZN). In addition, businessman Hakan Safi announced that he would distribute a special bonus of 1 million euros (2 million AZN) to the team.
It is worth recalling that the Turkish national team qualified for the World Championship after a 24-year break, defeating Kosovo in the play-off stage.
