The Mexican national team has changed its hotel in Los Angeles for security reasons before the start of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. ESPN reports this.
Although the team was initially scheduled to be based in downtown Los Angeles, riots in the city's central streets changed the leadership's mind.
Therefore, the Mexican national team will be located in Long Beach, which is 30 kilometers from the center of Los Angeles.
It should be noted that in the group stage of the CONCACAF Gold Cup, Mexico will face the Dominican Republic (June 15), Suriname (June 19) and Costa Rica (June 23). The tournament will be held in the USA and Canada from June 14 to July 6.
