Metin Öztürk, the second president of the Turkish club "Galatasaray", has been penalized for statements damaging the reputation of football and its institutions.
Idman.Biz reports that, according to the decision of the Turkish Football Federation's disciplinary committee, Metin Öztürk has been banned from all football-related activities for 15 days and fined 2 million Turkish lira (108 thousand AZN).
The decision stated that the official's statements damaged the overall image of football and the reputation of its institutions. The "Galatasaray" management has not yet made an official statement on the matter.
