Former footballer Mesut Özil has announced his plans to establish a football academy in Turkey. Sport24.az reports that the Turkish-born German star made the statement while speaking to journalists.
Özil emphasized that he wants to establish a new football academy in Ümraniye in a short time, to help young people and work to enable them to show themselves on the biggest stages in Europe.
It should be noted that during his football career, Mesut wore the jerseys of clubs such as Schalke, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Fenerbahçe, and Başakşehir.
