Lionel Messi will select his best goal and participate in turning it into a work of art.
Idman.biz reports that on May 22, the Argentinian footballer will announce which goal is especially valuable to him.
After that, Messi and Turkish artist Refik Anadol will create images of the selected goal. The proceeds from the sale of the artwork will be donated to charity.
The Inter Miami forward emphasized that it is very difficult to choose only one out of more than 800 goals: "Each of them is valuable, some are really important or evoke incredible memories. But to carry out this unique project, it is worth noting one as the best for the first time. There is a strong purpose behind this work."
The work to be created will be auctioned on June 11 under the auspices of Christie's auction house in New York. The buyer's name will be announced on July 25.
