Mehman Yunusov did not want to become the president of the Northern Regional Football Federation (SRFF). According to Sport24.az, the veteran footballer has withdrawn his candidacy.
Fakhreddin Hasanov, manager of "Sumgayit" Football Academy, Aghamusa Bagirov, the current vice-president of SRFF, and veteran footballer Agil Mammadov are still candidates to head the organization.
Fakhreddin Hasanov is considered the most realistic candidate.
It should be noted that the election will be held on November 4. The last president of the Northern Regional Football Federation was Abdulla Mammadov, who passed away last year.
