- How is the team preparing for the new season?
- Preparation is going as usual. The training camp has been going on for three weeks now. The first gathering is always difficult because everyone returns from vacation. We need to gather some strength to be ready for the championship.
- You drew goalless with "Imishli" in a test match. What can you say about this match?
- The result is not so important. It is important to get game practice and tone. We were working on several combinations. I think it will get better in every match.
- Sumgayit has been working under the leadership of the new head coach Sasha Ilic for several weeks now. What are your initial impressions of this specialist?
- It was very interesting to meet him. He had a very good football career. The team will bring its own vision. I think Sasha Ilic can give a lot to the club and every player.
- The Premier League season draw has been made. In the first five rounds, "Sumgayit" will face ambitious teams such as "Qarabag" and "Neftchi". Will this create difficulties for you?
- I didn't even think about it. Anyway, sooner or later we will play with every team. Regardless of the opponent, we must go out and apply our football.
- What do you think should be the main goal of "Sumgayit" in the 2025/2026 season?
- The thing is, it is very important who and when will come to our club from the football players. Transfers will be carried out. Because the team is not complete yet.
