Kylian Mbappe, the forward for Real Madrid and the French national team, spoke about the alleged rape allegations that appeared in the press in 2024, supposedly having occurred in Stockholm.

"Given how serious the subject is, it was very sad to see everyone pounce on him like a piece of meat. Unfortunately, even many women use this for headlines and articles. No one thought about what would happen to the possible victim. When it became clear that I had nothing to do with this matter, what happened? They threw it aside and now no one cares where it is," he said.
Mbappe noted that this topic is sensitive.
"I knew I could handle the matter because I wasn't involved. The police never called me, my name was never mentioned anywhere. I knew from the beginning that everything would be fine, but it's difficult. Especially for your loved ones, even more so for women. Whether you want to or not, when you talk about it, you read such a thought in the eyes of your interlocutor: "What if, even if there is a 1% chance, he did something?" This hurt me. But I was not guilty... This is a natural reaction from the women around me, because many go through the same thing," the forward said.
