French forward Kylian Mbappe has surpassed Thierry Henry in the number of goals scored for the national team.
"Report" reports with reference to foreign media that this happened in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup against Iceland (2:1).
K.Mbappe scored in the 45th minute of the match, scoring his 52nd goal for the team. The Spanish "Real" club's striker surpassed former French national team player Thierry Henry (51) in this indicator and rose to 2nd place.
