Kylian Mbappe, the forward for Real Madrid and the French national team, spoke about the most important decision of his football career.
According to Report, his words were quoted by Movistar.
The French footballer stated that joining the Monaco academy at the age of 14 or 15 was a turning point.
"When I was studying at their academy, I was 14 or 15 years old, and everyone was talking about me. It was something special. I knew I was different, but at that moment it was difficult to say whether it was good or bad. At this age, you are just a child," Mbappe recalled. He noted that it was in Monaco that he realized his ability and potential to become a high-level professional.
The footballer also added that comparisons with the legendary Thierry Henry helped him, but the main focus was on working hard. After joining the Monaco academy, Mbappe played for Monaco, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid, and became world champion with the French national team.
