16-year-old Arsenal player Max Dowman made a substitute appearance in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final against Sporting Lisbon (1:0).
Idman.Biz reports that he is the youngest player (16 years 97 days) among all players who have participated in the quarter-final stage or later in the history of the tournament.
Dowman came on in the 76th minute to replace Noni Madueke. In March of this year, Max became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history.
This season, Dowman has made 14 appearances in all tournaments, scoring seven goals and providing one assist.
