Maurizio Sarri, head coach of Lazio, has undergone heart surgery.
Idman.Biz reports that the Italian club's official website announced this.
He had previously been diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and underwent a transcatheter ablation procedure. The operation is reported to be successful. The coach will continue working with the team in the coming days.
Sarri worked at Lazio from 2021 to 2024 and returned to the team in the summer of 2025. His coaching career includes Juventus, Chelsea, Napoli, and several other clubs. He won the Europa League with the Londoners and the Serie A championship with the Turin club.
