The defender shared his thoughts on the D-2026 qualifying match against the Azerbaijani national team:
"I think the change of head coach was a factor that affected the opposing team. Azerbaijani footballers seemed to have received additional motivation. We expected the match to be difficult. Because the Azerbaijani national team lost 0:5 to Iceland in the first match. We knew they would do their best to earn points at home. And they did."
It should be noted that the Azerbaijan-Ukraine match ended in a 1:1 draw.
