PSG's Russian goalkeeper Matvey Safonov commented on his current situation at the club, emphasizing that being a reserve goalkeeper is very unpleasant. Sport24.az reports that Safonov, who has not played a single game for the Paris club this season, wrote the following about the issue on one of his social media accounts:
"Actually, sitting on the bench is very unpleasant. Until the last minute, we don't know who will come out on the field. We have to prepare for each match both physically and mentally."
The 26-year-old goalkeeper moved from Krasnodar to PSG on January 7, 2024.
He has played 17 games for the French club, conceded 13 goals, and kept a clean sheet 7 times. Safonov's contract with PSG is valid until June 30, 2029.
