"Marseille" will rent Juventus striker Timothy Weah. Sport24.az reports that insider Fabrizio Romano shared this on his X social network account.
According to the source, the French club will pay the Turin club 1 million euros for the rent and has committed to buy the football player for 14 million euros at the end of the 2025/26 season. The agreement also includes potential bonus payments of 3 million euros.
Weah moved to Juventus from Lille in July 2023. In the 2024/25 season, the forward scored 6 goals and made 5 assists in 43 matches in all competitions for the Turin club. The Transfermarkt portal estimates the value of the 25-year-old American at 17 million euros.
It should be noted that Timothy Weah is the son of Liberian former striker George Weah, the only African football player to win the Golden Ball. Father Weah also wore Marseille's uniform in the 2000/2001 season.
