Marquinhos, the captain of French club PSG, has announced that he wants to obtain French citizenship.
Idman.Biz reports that the Brazilian defender said that a large part of his life has already been spent in France.
"My wife has already applied and I'm working on it too. It would be a great joy for me to finally be French. I lived in Brazil for 18 years and in France for 13 years. This already shows that it is normal for me to be a Parisian to a large extent. My children were born here, my wife has been here for a long time. Why shouldn't I continue to live in Paris?" said Marquinhos.
Marquinhos has been playing for PSG since 2013 and has been considered one of the team's leaders for many years. The football player, who has won several domestic titles and successes in international tournaments with the club, intends to continue his career in Paris.
