PSG and Brazil national team defender Marquinhos has expressed his desire to obtain French citizenship. Sport24.az reports that the footballer made a statement to the newspaper "L'Équipe" about this:
"We are working on it. My wife has already submitted the documents. I am also working on it. This is a way to symbolize everything that France and Paris have given and brought to me. Finally, becoming a French citizen would be a great pleasure for me. I lived in Brazil for 18 years and in France for 13 years. My children were born here, and my wife has been living here with me for a long time. Why shouldn't I continue living in Paris? This is something to think about a lot."
It should be noted that Marquinhos has played 11 games in all tournaments for PSG this season and scored 1 goal.
