We are very pleased to set foot on the lands considered sacred for the Azerbaijani people.
This was stated by the Montenegrin midfielder of the "Qarabag" club, Marko Janković, in an interview with the "Report" correspondent who was assigned to Karabakh.
The 30-year-old player spoke about the trip to the liberated regions, organized jointly by the Agdam team and the Ministry of Youth and Sports:
"We are very pleased to set foot on the lands considered sacred for the Azerbaijani people. The joy of the local residents who met with us is evident in their eyes. I know that Karabakh is especially different from your other regions. Our head coach Gurban Gurbanov often tells us about it. This is my second visit to these lands. The first time I came to Khankendi to participate in the Azerbaijan Cup game. At that time, there was no time to meet with the city residents. But now we are both meeting with the residents and walking around the city. It's a very memorable day for us."
It should be noted that the members of the "Qarabag" club first went to the city of Shusha as part of a visit to the liberated regions. Then, after meeting with the residents of Khankendi, the team will finally head to Agdam.
