"I look at everything from a broad perspective. The club's system, the head coach's ideas, and the quality of the players must overlap. I believe I played the best games of my career precisely at "Qarabag".
Idman.Biz reports that these words were said by "Qarabag" footballer Marko Jankovic in an interview with the "Mozzart Sport" portal.
The footballer stated that the club recognized him during his performances for the Montenegrin national team, especially while watching Marko Vesovic. M. Jankovic said that since then, he has known that "Qarabag" is a club with a serious system and principles.
The Montenegrin midfielder also expressed high opinions about head coach Gurban Gurbanov:
"A book can be written about him. His ambition, hard work, and systematic work are also passed on to the players. "Qarabag" is not a club for everyone, but those who accept Gurban Gurbanov's game philosophy achieve results".
The publication wrote that "Qarabag", which plays its home games in Baku because its hometown has been under occupation for a long time, gathers more than 30,000 fans in European matches. Marko Jankovic also emphasized that the club's popularity in Europe has increased significantly in recent years, but the stands are emptier in the domestic championship.
Marko Jankovic's contract with "Qarabag" is valid until the summer of 2027. Regarding his future, he said:
"I have spent the longest period at this club. If there is a good offer, I would like the club to be understanding of me. I want to leave "Qarabag" as a winner, to remain in the memories with success".
It should be reminded that there have been reports that Marko Jankovic, who has been playing for "Qarabag" since 2022, has received offers from other clubs.
