Chelsea and Spain defender Marc Cucurella has expressed his desire to return to Barcelona at some stage in his career.
Idman.Biz reports that the defender's contract with Chelsea runs until June 2028.
"Returning to Barcelona? Spain is always Spain. You always think about returning, but I would postpone it for years. I'm happy in England now. If the opportunity arises, it would be difficult to refuse. I'll have to think about it carefully. If it happens, let it happen," The Touchline newspaper quotes Cucurella's words on his X social media account.
Cucurella is a graduate of Barcelona's youth system, but has only made one appearance for the club's first team. The defender made his senior debut in October 2017 in a Copa del Rey match against Murcia. In August 2018, he was loaned to La Liga club Eibar, and made his debut in the Spanish top flight on September 25 against Espanyol.
Marc Cucurella joined Chelsea from Brighton in August 2022.
