Mark-Andre ter Stegen, the goalkeeper of the Spanish club "Barcelona" who is playing on loan for "Girona," another representative of La Liga, will undergo surgery. Sport24.az reports that the German goalkeeper shared this information on his social media account.
The 33-year-old player was injured in the left thigh area in the XXII round of the Spanish Championship on January 31 in the match against "Oviedo" (0:1). The exact time of his return to the green field will be known after the surgery.
It should be noted that Mark-Andre ter Stegen was loaned to Girona until the end of the current season. He was able to play only two matches for his new club. The experienced goalkeeper's contract with Barcelona lasts until 2028.
