Former Bayern Munich striker Mario Gomez spoke about Barcelona's 17-year-old winger Lamine Yamal's chances of winning the Ballon d'Or in 2025. Sport24.az reports with reference to Bild that he compared the Spanish football player to himself:
"I cannot predict the future and name the winner. I think Yamal will win the Ballon d'Or several times in his career. Many remember my career very well. Playing at that level is crazy, and if he doesn't get injured, Yamal will dominate world football."
It should be noted that Yamal's contract with the Catalan club is valid until the summer of 2031.
