Former Italian national team striker Mario Balotelli is 35 years old and nearing the end of his career. In recent years, he has suffered more than played, missing entire seasons.
According to Lent.az, citing foreign media, his last club was Genoa, after which the Italian footballer rested for an indefinite period until a call came from the United Arab Emirates.
Since mid-January, Mario Balotelli has been a new transfer for the second division Al-Ittifaq. This club should not be confused with the club in Saudi Arabia. Balotelli plays in the UAE. The Italian has signed a two-year contract with the worst team in the league.
Surprisingly, Al-Ittifaq's matches are broadcast on the official FIFA+ platform. And thanks to this, it was possible to see Balotelli's first goal in the new championship. Mario stood in the penalty area, waited for a pass and sent the ball into the goal with one touch.
Al-Ittifaq's home stadium holds only 550 spectators. Many of Europe's top clubs have larger stands at their training grounds.
