Atletico midfielder Marcos Llorente has commented on the controversial episode he had with Real Madrid player Dani Carvajal in the Madrid derby. Sport24.az reports that Marca reported this.
The Spanish footballer stated that he did not fully understand what happened at the time of the incident:
"After I hit the ball, suddenly it felt like a train was coming at me. I didn't even know who it was".
Llorente also criticized the VAR system for not intervening in the referee's decision. According to him, VAR should play an auxiliary role in such cases:
"Episodes happen very quickly. VAR should support such incidents."
It should be noted that in yesterday's game, Atletico lost to Real 2:3.
