FIFA and international trade unions of football players have reached an agreement.
Idman.biz reports that the introduction of vacation for football players will be mandatory after the end of the season.
"Yahoo Sports" quoted FIFA's statement: "Everyone agrees that there should be at least 72 hours of rest between games, and at the end of each season, football players must be provided with a vacation period of at least 21 days."
In the summer of 2024, the International Federation of Professional Footballers Associations (FIFPro), as well as the football unions of England and France, filed a lawsuit against FIFA. They accused the organization of overloading the competition calendar by increasing the number of participants in the World Championship and changing the format of the Club World Championship.
