Ruben Amorim, head coach of the English football club "Manchester United", plans to acquire players for two key positions in the summer transfer window: a new center-back and a left-back.
Idman.Biz reports that Amorim confirmed that a center-back transfer was not planned in January, but stated that this position is a priority in the summer. The Portuguese specialist wants to prepare for a more challenging game schedule for the 2026 season.
The head coach added that he has a specific desire for the left flank: a right-footed, attack-minded left-wing defender. This is intended to give the team tactical flexibility and more creativity in attack.
Amorim attributed the reason for this approach to his previous experiences. He stated that he had previously tried Diogo Dalot on the left flank with his weaker foot, but it did not have the desired effect. Therefore, he naturally wants a dynamic player who is right-footed but can play on the left flank.
