It has been announced that "Manchester United" has abandoned the controversial three-sided canopy in the "Old Trafford" stadium renovation project.
According to İdman.biz, citing "The Athletic", the initial project would have cost £400 million for the 100,000-seat stadium's canopy, which fans had called "ugly" and "disgraceful".
The high cost of acquiring land from Freightliner has also complicated the plan, with the amount required being eight times higher than initially expected.
The club is now considering a more traditional stadium option, which would reduce costs and speed up the process. However, the issue of redeveloping "Old Trafford" is still not fully clarified.
