"Kapaz" goalkeeper Mammad Huseynov has commented on the unfortunate incident that occurred in the 26th minute of the match against "Imishli".
Idman.Biz reports that he clarified the details of the episode and his attitude towards the opponent by sharing a post on his personal "Instagram" account.

According to the footballer, he lost complete control during the incident when his left calf muscle tore while running towards the ball, and as a result, he could not avoid the collision:
"After my muscle tore, I was in severe pain and completely lost control at that moment. I couldn't stop myself, and it wasn't possible to properly intervene with the ball. In the photo taken at that moment, you can clearly see the pain and helplessness in my facial expression."
Mammad Huseynov stated that he has friendly relations with his colleague Vusal Ganbarov and emphasized that the incident was not intentional.
"No one would deliberately make such a tackle risking their career. I have a friendship with Vusal, and I would never want such an incident to happen. It's just that I couldn't prevent it because my muscle tore."
The goalkeeper wished his colleague a speedy recovery and apologized to both his teammates and fans:
"I wish Vusal Ganbarov a speedy recovery from God and hope he returns to the field stronger as soon as possible. I apologize to all my teammates and fans for leaving my team alone on the field and for having a part in our defeat. I wish all this had never happened."
It should be noted that the match ended with "Kapaz" losing 0:3.
