Malta Defeats Finland on the Road, Finland's Chances Vanish

Finland and Malta national teams faced off in the qualifying round of the 2026 World Cup.

Idman.Biz reports that the Group G match ended with Malta's victory – 0:1.

The only goal was scored by Jake Grech in the 81st minute.

With this defeat, Finland lost even its theoretical chances of reaching the playoffs. Malta, on the other hand, achieved a historic victory for the small country.
