The Africa Cup of Nations Round of 16 match between Mali and Tunisia has concluded.
İdman.Biz reports that the game ended 1-1 after regular time, but Mali won 3-2 on penalties. The match was held at the "Mohamed V" stadium (Casablanca, Morocco).
Voyo Koulibaly from Mali received a red card in the 26th minute. Firas Chayat gave Tunisia the lead in the 89th minute, while Lassin Sinayoko scored from the penalty spot in the 90+7th minute to take the game to extra time. Mali won the penalty shootout. In the quarter-finals, Mali will face Senegal.
The 2025 Africa Cup of Nations will be held in Morocco. 24 national teams divided into six groups are participating in the competition. The tournament will last until January 18. The current Africa Cup of Nations champion is Côte d'Ivoire, who defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the 2023 final.
